Upahaar's Workshop Series 2020-21 continues with an Abhinaya technique workshop with Bragha Bessell, where she will also be teaching a piece of repertoire such as a Padam or Javali. Minimum training criteria for this workshop: Individual should have learnt at least one Padam and or learning Varnam

About The Event
About Bragha Bessell:
Bragha Bessell has pursued her learning of Bharatanatyam under many esteemed Gurus, including Guru Padmasri, Sri. Adyar K. Lakshman and Guru Padma Bhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. Her pure dance and as well as abhinaya has earned wide appreciation from students, teachers and professionals. She has given numerous performances in India and overseas.
Bragha has been working as a visiting faculty and teaching abhinaya in the esteemed Kalakshetra Foundation since 2005. She is invited by many leading and established Festivals namely, Milapfest, Cleveland Aradhana - USA, Dance India Asia Pacific-Singapore, Soorya Festival, Mudra Festival to name a few.
She has received Special Awards from many prestigious venues such as Krishna Gana Sabha and Fine Arts Foundation. Her abhinaya technique has been incorporated by performing professionals from other major dance forms like Mohiniyattam, Odissi and Kathak.
