Upahaar School of Dance invites you to the Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Diya Ponsudhahar

Upahaar School of Dance is a leading instituition that specialises in the Indian classical performing arts, with it's primary focus on Natya or Dance. We offer training in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Mohinattam, as well as Carnatic Vocal and Mridangam, to students of all ages.

Diya Ponsudhahar's initial training in Bharatanatyam began at the age of four under Guru Smt. Meenakshi Ravi in 2012. After training for few years, Diya joined Upahaar School of Dance and continued her training under Guru Smt. Shalini Shivashankar in 2016. Through diligent training alongside her school education, Diya completed ISTD Bharatanatyam exams up till Grade 4. Diya has participated in several solo and group dance performances with Upahaar. She has presented Bharatanatyam for ISKON South London, Lancing College, The London Institute of Vedic Education, The Upahaar Student Showcase, Paallam Arts and London Hindu Aikyavedi. Diya took part and won first prize in Upahaar's internal Bharatanatyam competition for her presentation of 'Shabdam'. Diya was also selected as the Junior Nominee in the ISTD Bursary Award 2021, and presented a solo Bharatanatyam presentation for the event.
